Odenton Heritage Society September Open House - Odenton Doo Wop Days
On Sunday, September 3rd, the Odenton Heritage Society (OHS) will go back to school and back in time with Odenton Doo Wop Days, a look at Arundel High School (AHS) student activities in the 1950s. AHS grads from the Class of 1953 to the Class of 1958 will share stories about student life and after-school activities. Photographs of school bands, popular “hangouts” (drive-in restaurants in Odenton), the Shamrock newsletter, “Best All Around” students, and Personality of the Month will be on display. Additional (permanent) displays in the OHS Museum depict the growth of Odenton as a railroad hub, cherished hometown, and commercial center since 1871. The OHS Historical Center is located at 1367 Odenton Road in the Old Masonic Temple, built in 1912. Hours are from 1 pm to 4 pm, and admission is free.
