HANOVER, MD - Two strong-arm robberies were committed on the same day in Hanover, police said.

Both robberies happened last Saturday in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle, officers said.

Authorities did not say if the robberies happened inside or outside the mall. They also didn't mention if the robberies were related. Patch asked for clarification. We will update this story if we get a response.

Police said the first robbery happened around 5:15 p.m.

"The victim was walking in the area when several juvenile males approached him, pinned him against the wall, and stole his bag," officers said.

The victim was not hurt. Authorities said no weapons were displayed, and the suspects ran away.

Police said the second robbery happened during a fight around 7:30 p.m.

These victims were also walking when an unknown teenage male approached and asked for drugs, officers said.

Authorities said the victims replied that they didn't have any drugs.

Police said the victims were then assaulted by multiple other suspects.

The suspect who asked for drugs in this case took shoes and clothing from the victims, officers said.

Authorities said the suspects fled in an unknown direction.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating both cases. Officers asked anybody with information to call (410) 222-6155. Tipsters can stay anonymous by dialing (410) 222-4700.

This map shows the area where authorities said the robberies happened.
