ODENTON, MD - Some spicy jerseys just dropped for an Anne Arundel County hockey team.

The Maryland Black Bears, a junior squad in Odenton, will rock Old Bay jerseys this Saturday. The team will then auction off the game-worn jerseys with all proceeds benefitting the Maryland Food Bank.

Route One Apparel, a Maryland clothing company, helped design the uniforms. A hype video unveiling the uniforms is posted here. Photos of last year's Old Bay jerseys are posted here.

The jerseys feature the yellow, blue and red marks of Old Bay. They also have the black and yellow colors of the Black Bears.

"The Maryland Black Bears are proud to once again partner with OLD BAY®. The response last season was overwhelming and we are excited to repeat this fan-favorite event and highlight an iconic brand, a staple of Maryland culture and pride," Black Bears President Chris Rogers said in a Jan. 16 press release. "Additionally, we could not be happier to help out Maryland Food Bank again this year through our specialty jersey auction."

The jersey auction will take place online. Details will be announced soon on the Black Bears' Facebook page.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Piney Orchard Ice Arena, located at 8781 Piney Orchard Parkway. The Black Bears will face the New Jersey Titans.

Limited tickets are still available here starting at $12.65 plus fees. Fans also have the option of purchasing an Old Bay night sticker for $3 at checkout.

The Black Bears compete in the North American Hockey League with players ranging from 16 to 20 years old.
