Rape Suspect Arrested At BWI Airport, Charged With Baltimore County Assault: Police
LINTHICUM, MD - A rape suspect was arrested recently at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, police said.
Officers identified the arrestee as 27-year-old Wilfredo Pineda of Silver Spring.
The Baltimore County Police Department had an open warrant for Pineda's arrest on charges of second-degree rape and assault, authorities said.
The arrest warrant dates back to June 10, 2022, court records say.
The Maryland Transportation Authority Police said it pulled Pineda over on Jan. 13 just after 2 a.m.
Officers accused Pineda of driving on the inner roadway of BWI Airport's upper level, which is a high-pedestrian area reserved for authorized vehicles.
Authorities said they learned of Pineda's warrant, took him into custody without incident and drove him to the Jennifer Road Detention Center in Annapolis.
