Armed Carjacking In Odenton Shopping Center Prompts Investigation: Police

ODENTON, MD - A woman was carjacked Wednesday evening in the Odenton Shopping Center, police said. 

Officers said the carjacking happened around 9:50 p.m. while the 30-year-old victim was walking to her car parked in the 1100 block of Annapolis Road.

Authorities said an unknown male approached, displayed a handgun and demanded the keys to her black 2021 Hyundai Elantra.

Police said the victim complied and the suspect drove the stolen sedan away on westbound Annapolis Road, also known as Maryland Route 175.

Officers said they couldn't find the suspect or the car.
