Road Rage Suspect Arrested In Odenton After Pointing Gun On Mountain Road: Police
PASADENA, MD - A road rage suspect was arrested and accused of pointing a gun at another driver while riding an ATV in Pasadena, police announced Monday.
Officers identified the suspect as 23-year-old Dale Johansen McKinney Jr. of Odenton.
Authorities said the encounter started on Sept. 22 around 6 p.m.
The victim reported that he was driving and approaching Mountain Road from Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and encountered the suspect driving an all-terrain vehicle in the roadway, a press release said.
Police said the victim was driving down Mountain Road and entered the left turn lane, leading the suspect to think the victim had cut him off.
Authorities said the suspect pulled along the right side of the victim's vehicle and pointed a small black handgun at the victim.
Police said they saw somebody matching the suspect's description driving a four-wheeler on Freetown Road and turning onto westbound Mountain Road.
Officers said they tried to stop the suspect, but he continued driving and authorities lost him near Freetown Road.
Authorities said they later identified the suspect and found him Friday at a home in the 500 block of Kingdom Court in Odenton.
Investigators said they executed a search warrant at the home and seized a loaded 9mm Canik handgun and a loaded Stouger STR9 handgun.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the suspect was arrested and charged.
