Severn Shooting Hospitalizes Man, Officers Search For Suspect: Police

SEVERN, MD - A 20-year-old man was shot and hospitalized this weekend in Severn, police announced Monday morning. Officers expect the victim to survive.

Authorities said gunfire was reported Sunday in the 1100 block of Reece Road around 9:50 p.m.

Police said they found several spent shell casings, but the victim was already on his way to the hospital when first responders arrived at the scene.

Officers said the injured man entered the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie around 10:05 p.m. 

The victim reported that he was shot at Reece Road and Pioneer Drive, authorities said.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said it searched the area but could not find any suspects.
