HANOVER, MD - Police said a Hanover hotel guest was recently strangled, robbed and locked in her bathroom.

Officers said the strong-arm robbery happened last Tuesday around 6:50 p.m. at the Red Roof Inn located at 7306 Parkway Drive South.

Authorities said the 51-year-old woman was expecting a food delivery to her room, so she opened the door to three unknown males who entered.

Police said one suspect strangled the victim, displayed a knife and demanded her banking information.

The suspects then transferred an unspecified large sum of money from the victim's bank accounts, officers said.

Authorities said the suspects then locked the victim in her bathroom.

Police said medics treated the victim on the scene. She is expected to survive.

Officers searched for the suspects but couldn't find them.

Authorities asked anybody with information to call (410) 222-6155. Tipsters can stay anonymous by dialing (410) 222-4700.
