You can't count on or assume the Arundel girls will be in the same position next season...injuries are a big factor. They needed to win NOW....losing big games is becoming a habit for the Arundel girls soccer team over the last several years. They consistently seem out-coached at many aspects (game preparation, making in-game adjustments, tactics, players in the wrong positions, and game management). And if you don't agree with this, ask yourself this question. When is the last time an Arundel girls soccer team advanced from their region into the state semi-finals?.....Crickets. Coaches should be measured by how well they do in the regular season AND playoffs against quality opponents. We expect the best teacher for our kids and we should expect the best coaches too. The time is long past that a history teacher with little coaching experience can trot out and coach a bunch of kids that have played high level club soccer since they were kids. The Arundel athletic department needs to hire some good coaches and put some priority into the soccer program. All they really seem to care about is football and girls basketball.
