About Marc

First and foremost I'm a father of two kids.  I'm a runner.  A Veteran.  A computer geek.  Lover of life and the freedom to laugh at silly people.  I was born and raised in Texas but I've been in Maryland since I was 21.  I support our president and trust the government to do their best for us, given their limitations.  I'm not a liberal.  I'm not a conservative.  I'm one of those people who just leans the way of common sense.

I guess I should have said, "he did nothing morally or legally wrong..." since that's pretty much what I meant. :) Carol, I was reading your comments on the other thread after I wrote mine. You were much more professional and articulate than I was while writing my comment to RG early this morning. I pretty much should have just said, "What Carol said in the other thread."

How quickly you changed your tune, Mark:

"He's back at work. All of you people who like to claim someone is guilty via speculation need to apologize to all of us SMART people who can see beyond the grapevine smoke screen. I want to point out one other thing...if you feel you have to flaunt "PhD" in your personal life, I think it says something about how awesome you think you are, when in reality...nobody here cares about your opinion over any other person here who DOESN'T put PhD in their title. Marc Riley, High School Graduate."

This is wrong on 2 counts:

1) I'm one of the people who tried to get everyone to stop speculating.

(2) I worked very hard for my Ph.D., earning it at 46 while working full-time and teaching college at night. I'm as entitled to use the title as your medical doctor is to use his MD. I'm sorry that you find that a basis for ad hominem ridicule--but that achievement is both awesome and one too few people respect, especially when it's earned by a woman.
