I am the daughter of German immigrants and the first to be born an American. I have lived in Maryland just about all my life and love the Chesapeake Bay and the cities and surrounding countryside.

Receiving no formal art education (except in public schools) I have always been drawn to painting and colors. After taking an informal class on stroke painting, I knew I found my passion. After working for the Federal government for many years, I decided to quit and start my own business ART OF HEIDI in 1995. In the beginning, I participated in many arts and craft shows in MD and PA. Currently, I sell my artwork in the form of Cards and Prints at the Annapolis Farmers' Market on the corner of Riva Road and Harry Truman on Saturday mornings.
