Ahh, no suprruse to see this. When one's actions can't be defended, there's always the "but everybody does it" ticket to play.
What exactly did Leopold do that was so go for AA county? Besides getting in bed with his girlfriends at taxpayer expense, he ceratinly slept a lot with that crook Cordish. Leo made Big Janet look like a woman of the common people.

ReplySo predictable. Whenver I've been there, I saw numerous people come in, take a look at the menu board and prices, look like they are in shock, grab a takeout menu, and walk out.
Food quality was very good. But not nearly good enough to justify the outlandish prices and cheap atmosphere. PoBoys as an example were more expensive than Copleands and had at best 5-6 small oysters. .

ReplyThe area definately needs more gourmet restaurants but if they hope to survive very long, it must have better prices than the one on Telegraph. You can't charge fine dining prices for a McDonalds atmosphere and last long unless the food is really outstanding. New Orlenas kitchen is good but not that good..

ReplyYou forgot to mention the cost to riders of MARC's complete incompetence. Most folks had to take 4+ hours annual leave (late in the year which could affect Christmas vacation plans) as well as hundreds of dollars in daycare late fees. Yes, its greeat to be one of those overpaid Federal workers with great benefits that the politicians have successfull;y declared as public enemy #1. How fortunate we are to ride the unreliable MARC everyday. For such a "rich state" why is Maryland managed like a third world country?

Don't feel sorry for the casino owners. No worries, they'll make plenty of money even if there's one on every corner. There's no honor among thieves and Cordish is the biggest of them all. He's just scared National Harbor is going to do to him what he did to Laurel Park and Perryville. But the man won't go homeless, that's for sure.
