Committee to Review Apartment, Retail Projects

The Odenton Town Center Committee will hear details about more than 25,000 square feet of new retail space in the north section of town.

Odenton's development review board will examine two new projects proposed along Annapolis Road, including an apartment project and a complex with nearly 25,000 square feet of retail.  The Odenton Town Center Plan Oversight Committee will meet Tuesday and review Alliance Residential's plan for 212 apartments at Nevada Avenue and Baldwin Road. The committee had previously approved a sketch plan for the project, and will now consider a final plan with modifications.  The committee will also review a new proposal for Garner Center, a retail complex planned for a two-block stretch along Annapolis Road across from Fort Meade. They need to sick to the plan, but it will take time. AJ properties is biased. They stand to make money from more housing and less retail. Odenton has more going for it than the Mall. The Marc station can be the hub for it all if they do it right.   more ›
