Pregnant Woman Struck by Vehicle on Chapelgate
The woman, about 20, is 40 weeks pregnant and has been rushed to Shock Trauma with serious injuries.
Updated - (Thursday, 4:05 p.m.) - A pregnant woman was hospitalized after being struck by a pickup truck in the Chapelgate section of Odenton on Wednesday evening, fire and police officials said. Lt. Cliff Kooser of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said the incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. at the 600 block of Chapelgate Drive. The injured woman is approximately 20 years old and is 40 weeks pregnant, Kooser said. She suffered injuries that were serious, but not life threatening. Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said the woman was struck by a Dodge Dakota truck.
