The food pantry operated by the Christian Assistance Program does not have the ability to store all of the frozen goods it receives.
A freezer recently broke down at the food pantry at the Severn United Methodist Church, resulting in the spoilage of meat that was stored inside. The food pantry, which operates twice weekly and serves needy residents of Odenton, Severn, Gambrills and Fort Meade, is now looking for a replacement freezer. The pantry has one freezer that still works, but it's not large enough to handle deliveries of all of the frozen beef, chicken, hot dogs and other meat. If you have an extra freezer you wish to donate, or can help in any other way, email Jean McHenry at firstname.lastname@example.org
