New 5K Race to Benefit Severn Community Center

People's Community Health Centers is looking to organize a 5K walk and run in June to raise funds for a new community center in Severn. The group is seeking committee members to handle tasks ranging from raceday logistics to marketing for the event, which would be held on June 1. All funds would go to support ongoing efforts to build the Severn Community Health and Wellness Center on a site near Van Bokkelen Elementary School. The Severn Community Health and Wellness Center will consist of a health center funded largely by government grants, and a recreation and community space, which would be funded through donations.
