Police: Handgun Used in Robbery in Severn

Police said one of the suspects was wearing a t-shirt featuring a character from "South Park"

Anne Arundel County police responded Saturday to an assault and robbery of a man in Severn.  At about 3:45 a.m., officers came to the 1800 block of Arwell Court and spoke to a man who said he was approached by four other men, including one who had a handgun.  The victim said he was struck in the face with the gun and was forced to empty his pockets. The suspects took money and ran away to the area of Pioneer Drive. Officers searched the area with the help of a K-9 unit, but couldn't find the suspects.  Police described one suspect as a black man with a thin build, wearing a black t-shirt with a South Park character on it. He also was wearing a black bandana and dark jeans. Police did not have a detailed description of the other three men.

Police Respond to Robbery on Averill Court

A man says he was punched then robbed of his cell phone and wallet while he was walking to his home.

Anne Arundel County police responded Tuesday evening to a report of a robbery of a man who was walking to his Severn home.  Police said they responded shortly before 9 p.m. and spoke to a man at the 8200 block of Averill Court. The man told police that he had parked his vehicle on Averill Court when another man came up and punched him, then took his wallet and cell phone.  Police said the suspect ran away and may have then met with three other people who also fled. Officers searched the area with the help of a K9 unit but did not find the suspects. The victim declined medical treatment. Police did not offer a detailed description of the suspects.

Police Report Robbery of 7-Eleven in Severn

Police say two armed men robbed the store Thursday night.

Anne Arundel County police responded Thursday to a report of a robbery at a 7-Eleven store in Severn.  Police responded to a call at about 10:45 p.m. about a robbery at the store in the 500 block of Donaldson Avenue. When officers arrived, they spoke with store employees and learned that two men entered the store and demanded cash. One of the men had a handgun, police said.  Both men took an undisclosed amount of cash and ran away. Officers searched the area with the help of a K-9 unit, but could not find the suspects.  Police were not able to offer a detailed description of the suspects because they were wearing black clothing and dark masks.

Couple Reports Armed Robbery in Pioneer City

Police said a man approached two people with a handgun and stole some money before running off.

Anne Arundel County police are investigating an armed robbery in Pioneer City on Wednesday night.  Police said they responded at about 8:50 p.m. to the intersection of Severn Orchard Circle and Pioneer Drive in Severn.  Officers spoke with 24-year-old woman and 30-year-old man who said they were walking in the area when a man approached them carrying a handgun. Police said the suspect stole some money from them before running away on foot. Officers searched the area with help from K-9 and Aviation units, but did not find the man.  Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Metro Crime Stoppers. Teen Reports Being Robbed on Disney Road

The 17-year-old said two men assaulted him and stole his cell phone.

A teenage boy told police that two men robbed him last week while he was walking on a street in Severn.  Anne Arundel County police said they responded at 3 p.m. Friday and spoke to the 17-year-old boy, who said he was approached from behind and assaulted by the two men. The teen told police that one man stole his cell phone and then ran to a four-door, maroon sedan and rode off.  Police used a K-9 unit and Aviation unit to search for the car, but could not find it.  The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Police Charge 3 Severn Men in 7-Eleven Robbery

Police are still looking for a fourth suspect in the robbery early Wednesday morning.

Anne Arundel County police arrested three men in the robbery of a 7-Eleven store in Severn last week. Police said they responded at 12:33 a.m. on Wednesday to a report of a robbery in progress at the store, located at 2616 Annapolis Rd. Officers reported that four men, including one with a shotgun and another with a sword, came into the store and took cigarettes and cash from behind the counter. Police said at least one of the suspects also struck an employee. After a search, police found three of the suspects near Citadel Drive and Stone Castle Drive in Severn. These young men have chosen their destiny and no one else should be blamed for their actions. I personally know the 20 -year old suspect who comes from a well educated, decent, and law abiding family. He has chosen this type of lifestyle for himself against the constant advice, intervention, and help of his family. I feel sorry for his parents and young siblings.   more ›

Police Report Robbery of Today’s Pizza Delivery Driver

The driver told police that one man placed a pistol against his head and demanded money.

Anne Arundel County police are investigating a robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Severn on Monday night in which a man allegedly placed a pistol to the driver’s head and demanded money. Police said in a news release that they responded at 11:34 p.m. to the 1800 block of Watch House Circle North. There they spoke with the manager of the Today’s Pizza in Odenton, who said one of his drivers was robbed about 10 minutes earlier. The driver told police that he was delivering food to a home on Watch House Circle and saw three men waiting in front of the house. Severn Man Charged in Robbery of 2 Teens

Police are still looking for another man in connection to the incident Monday night on Carriage Court.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Severn resident on robbery charges after they said he and another man confronted two teens on Carriage Court Monday night. Police said in a press release that they responded at 9:15 p.m. to a report of a robbery and spoke to two boys, ages 16 and 17. The teens told police that they were walking when two men approached them and physically accosted them. One of the suspects had a knife and threatened the victims, police said. Police Charge Four Teens in Assault, Robbery in Severn

A group of teens forced their way into a house twice and assaulted an 18-year-old man and stole a television, said police.

Police charged four teens in connection with the robbery and assault of a young man in Severn on Tuesday evening. Anne Arundel County police said in a press release that officers responded to the 1700 block of Village Square Court, where they learned that a group of teens forced their way into a home at least twice and assaulted an 18-year-old man who lived there. Police said an investigation revealed that the 18-year-old opened the door to his home and at least three teens forced their way inside the home. The males charged in this crime need to be punished to the full extent of the law. Once I read the article, I realized that the crime committed was so ignorant, dim-witted and just showed the stupidity of the offenders.
