The Gambrills General Store will hold a special open house event on Friday, featuring free food, craft projects and a small store set up for kids. The open house will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and customers will be able to browse the store, sip on some hot drinks and munch on a cookie or two. Patch editor Tim Lemke will be on hand from 4-7 p.m. to meet local residents and hand out some additional goodies. Anyone who spends more than $20 at the store or signs up for Patch newsletters will receive a free Patch tote bag.

The new apartment complex near the MARC station is accepting leases now, and will have a model unit available for the first time for viewing. The open house will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Prospective residents can also call 410-672-0561 to set up an appointment. The Village at Odenton Station is located at the corner of Duckens Street and Town Center Boulevard, and features 235 apartments. Johnson Development is accepting leases for units in the new apartment complex from now, and expects completion of its model units and clubhouse next week.
