Fort Meade to Break Ground on New Apartments
The 432 units at Reece Crossings will be designed for single soldiers.
These aren't your same old barracks. Fort Meade will break ground next week on a new, 432-unit apartment complex, featuring a clubhouse, lap pool and fitness center. The Reece Crossings project will be designed to accommodate as many as 816 single soldiers on the installation, according to a media statement. It will be the first privately-developed apartment complex at Fort Meade. There will be two types of apartments in the complex. One-bedroom units with dens will have 1,126 square feet, while two-bedroom units comprise 1,186 square feet. All units will have kitchens and laundry rooms with washers and dryers.
