Throughout December local religious leaders have offered messages relating to the Christmas season and the story of Christ's birth. Here are excerpts from two recent sermons. Bravo to Rev. Humbert. He managed to deliver his message, and (pun intended) keep it light. Our Puritan forbears believed in Calvin's (and Jonathan Edwards') angry God--but Christmas is not about fire and brimstone, it's about love and caring and giving and redemption.
