Ruppersberger Retains District 2 House Seat
The Baltimore County Democrat first claimed the seat in 2003.
U.S. Rep. C.A. "Dutch" Ruppersberger III was re-elected in the District 2 House of Representatives race, defeating challenger Nancy Jacobs, a Harford County Republican. Ruppersberger, a Baltimore County Democrat who first won his seat in 2003, said following his reelection that it was time to pull together as Americans to address the country's most pressing needs. "We have some very serious issues, we have fiscal issues, we have debt issues, we have deficit issues, we have international issues that are very serious, terrorism issues," he said.
