Library Renovations Give Provinces Branch New Look
In a partnership with a statewide grant and Anne Arundel County funding, Severn's library has a new look ready to be used by the community.
In conjunction with a countywide effort to improve Anne Arundel's libraries, Severn's Provinces Branch Library recently completed serious renovations costing approximately $130,000. The campaign to upgrade the library began years ago, before the economic downturn, said Branch Manager Cathy Hollerbach. In the 2008 fiscal year, a statewide County Library Grant of $5 million provided the necessary funds to complete the renovations, said Library Manager of Public Relations and Marketing Laurie Hayes. After meetings had concluded and contractors were assigned, the refurbishing process began in June and finished just recently.
