Future of Dairy Farm Site in Question
Funding to transform part of the former Naval Academy Dairy Farm into a park has been cut from the county executive's 2014 budget, the Capital reports.
For years local residents have waited for plans to move forward on a large park at the site of the former Naval Academy Dairy Farm. It appears that they will have to wait a bit longer, after funding for the park was reportedly not included in the budget proposed by County Executive Laura Neuman. The Capital reported Monday that while funding for the park project has been included in recent budgets, it did not appear in the budget for fiscal year 2014. The newspaper quoted Neuman as saying she supported the project but wanted to ensure it made fiscal sense.
