Here's a look at the showtimes for films at the Cinemark Egyptian 24 at Arundel Mills.
As we head closer to summer, we'll start to see some big blockbuster films coming our way. Already, local theaters are showing some big-budget features. Iron Man 3 is the newest addition to screens this weekend. The Jackie Robinson bio 42 is still in theaters, along with Evil Dead and Jurassic Park in 3D. The casino at Arundel Mills added more than 100 games including craps, blackjack and roulette with live dealers.
Gambling enthusiasts came to the Maryland Live! casino on Wednesday night to celebrate the arrival of table games. The casino began offering games including craps, blackjack and roulette shortly after midnight, with 122 tables featuring live dealers. Baltimore-area native and celebrity Stacy Keibler was in attendance for the festivities along with executives from the Cordish Companies, the casino owner. The mall on Saturday will host the first of five rallies in the area, as fans gear up for Opening Day at Oriole Park.
Orioles fans can get warmed up for Opening Day this Saturday at Arundel Mills, as the team kicks off a series of rallies to build excitement for the upcoming baseball season. The Orioles will host a five-stop caravan of sorts in the week leading up to the April 5 home opener at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The first rally will take place on Saturday from noont to 2 p.m. at Arundel Mills. The Orioles mascot will be in attendance along with former catcher Chris Hoiles. The county will hold several public meetings in early April, featuring an update on the development near Arundel Mills and news on the installation of a major water line on Route 3.
The public will have a chance to weigh in on local development and environamental issues at some upcoming meetings. There will be no meeting of the Odenton Town Center Plan Oversight Committee in March, as the committee had no new business to discuss. However, the committee is secueduled to meet on April 30. Some other meetings of note will be happening in early April. Workers put in place 122 tables, which will go into operation on April 11.
The Maryland Live! casino on Wednesday accepted delivery of 122 tables to be used for live gambling next month at the casino. The tables came in on tractor trailers from Las Vegas, and were delicately unloaded and moved to designated areas on the casino floor. On April 11, the tables will be put to use, as Maryland Live! will officially introduce live table games. The table games will include Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Mini-Baccarat, Pai Gow, Three-Card Poker, Four-Card Poker, Mississippi Stud and Big Six. All of the games will be manned by live dealers, who were trained at a 12-week dealer school held at Marley Station Mall. Rams Head Center Stage will have three country concerts in April and May.
Country music fans can hit the concert stage at Maryland Live! for three shows in April and May. The Rams Head Center Stage will host country music artists Randy Houser, Lee Brice and Chris Cagle. Houser is well known for his debut single, “Anything Goes" from 2008, and his latest single, "How Country Feels,” is in the Billboard Country top 30. Cagle has two #1 albums and 12 charted songs, including his latest single, "Let There Be Cowgirls." Lee Brice is a four-time Academy of Country Music Award nominee and his current single, “I Drive Your Truck" is in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot Country chart. Here are the details of the shows. The casino near Arundel Mills will have 122 live-action tables and will also open a poker room this summer.
Local gamblers will have another reason to stop by Maryland Live! in April, when it introduces 122 live table games. The new live dealers will be in place just after midnight on April 11. The casino also said it will construct a two-story poker room in time for summer. Gamblers will be able to interact with live dealers playing popular games including blackjack, craps, roulette and poker. The casino is expected to take away about 10 percent of its slot machines to make way for the table games. About 4,300 slot machines will remain in place. Three men are accused of using a tire iron to threaten people in incidents in Severn and Hanover.
Anne Arundel County police have arrested three Glen Burnie men in connection with a string of robbery attempts in the Hanover and Severn area Monday afternoon. Police said that three men either successfully robbed or attempted to rob people in three separate incidents near the Sam's Club in Severn and in the Arundel Mills area. Officers found the men at a marina in Edgewater and arrested them on robbery charges. Officers first responded at about 4:10 p.m. to the Sam's Club, where they spoke to a 49-year-old woman who said she was approached by a man who tried to grab her purse away from her. The woman said she resisted and was dragged toward a teal car, but the suspect drove away without taking anything. While police were interviewing …
