The non-profit company has more than 150 members and 14 line officers, ensuring there is always a team ready to respond to any emergency. Five career firefighters from Anne Arundel County are also assigned to the company. It has three fire engines and one ambulance. The OVFC hosts a carnival on its grounds each summer.

With a hybrid fire engine and ladder truck, also known in the department as a "quint," and the only Mobile Command and Communication Unit in the county, station #4 is one of the most advanced stations in the area.
