Police: Handgun Used in Robbery in Severn

Police said one of the suspects was wearing a t-shirt featuring a character from "South Park"

Anne Arundel County police responded Saturday to an assault and robbery of a man in Severn.  At about 3:45 a.m., officers came to the 1800 block of Arwell Court and spoke to a man who said he was approached by four other men, including one who had a handgun.  The victim said he was struck in the face with the gun and was forced to empty his pockets. The suspects took money and ran away to the area of Pioneer Drive. Officers searched the area with the help of a K-9 unit, but couldn't find the suspects.  Police described one suspect as a black man with a thin build, wearing a black t-shirt with a South Park character on it. He also was wearing a black bandana and dark jeans. Police did not have a detailed description of the other three men.

Old Mill Complex Receives Bomb Threat, Teen Arrested

Police say an 18-year-old Baltimore man made threats for personal reasons, and there was no evidence of any real threat to student safety

Anne Arundel County police arrested an 18-year-old Baltimore man Thursday, after he was accused of threatening to plant bombs near the Old Mill school complex in Millersville.  Police said an investigation revealed there was no real threat to student safety but they arrested Matthew Permenter of Jack Place in Baltimore, charging him with several counts of making threats and false statements. Permenter reportedly made the threats on social media. Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said an investigation determined Permenter made the threat because he was frustrated about being unable to attend the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, which takes place Friday night at the Old Mill complex. Police Report 29 Cars Broken Into in Seven Oaks

Officers arrested Jamar Davis of Severn in theft charges after a witness accused him of rummaging through a car Saturday morning.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a man Saturday in the break-ins of nearly 30 cars in the Seven Oaks section of Odenton. Police said they charged Jamar Nathaniel Davis, 19, of Severn with multiple counts of theft. A witness told police they saw him rummaging through cars in the area of Arcadia Shores Circle.  Officers responded at 5:30 a.m. Saturday and spoke to the witness, then later observed Davis walking across Brigadier Boulevard. A further investigation revealed that 29 cars were broken into along Hidden Hill Circle, Arcadia Shores Circle, Liason Court, Miles River Court and Nob Hill Way.  A full list of charges against Davis was not immediately available.

Police: Severn Man Found With Heroin, Crack

Detiko Dillard has been charged with drug possession with intent to distribute

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Severn man Wednesday for allegedly having heroin, cocaine and marijuana in his car.  Police said they had a warrant to search the home of Detiko Rodney Dillard of Marlton Court in Severn. While in the area to serve the warrant Wednesday morning, they spotted Dillard leaving his house and conducted a traffic stop.  Detectives searched Dillard's car and found 0.6 grams of heroin, 13.6 grams of crack cocaine and 2.9 grams of suspected marijuana. Together, the drugs had an estimated street value of about $1,350. Detectives also seized $576 in cash, along with the car.  The detectives then executed the search warrant on Dillard's home and found a digital scale and baggies.  Dillard was charged with …
