In 2008, the Odenton Heritage Society published an interview with local restaurant owner Perry Miliotis, who passed away Friday.
In 2008, the Odenton Heritage Society published an article about Perry Miliotis, best known as the longtime owner of Perry's Restaurant on Annapolis Road. Miliotis died on Friday after a long illness. A viewing will be held Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the Donaldson Funeral Home and there will be a memorial service Monday at noon at Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church. The owner of Perry's Restaurant in Odenton passed away Thursday morning.
Perry Miliotis, the owner of Perry's Restaurant in Odenton, has died. Sources close to the family said he passed away Thursday morning. He was 72. Miliotis, who also resided in Odenton, was a fixture in the community ever since opening Perry's Restaurant on Annapolis Road more than 40 years ago. A native of Cyprus, he emigrated to America as a 19-year-old. He later opened Perry's Restaurant, even rebuilding the business once after a devastating fire. Perry's has been a popular place for the Happy Hour crowd and for those looking for authentic Greek dishes. In recent years, he handed over the day-to-day operations to his sons, Kristos and Michael. David D'Augustine and cousins Katie Warrington and Sam Schindler will be laid to rest this weekend.
Funeral services have been announced for the victims of Sunday's fatal car crash on Piney Orchard Parkway. Cousins Katherine Warrington and Samuel Schindler will be laid to rest together on April 6 at noon at Gates of Heaven Cemetary. On April 5, there will be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 520 Veirs Mill Rd., Rockville.
