O' Malley could easily NOT sign the abortion laws passed by the GA. So, yes, O'Malley does haveRead More something to do with abortion laws if he's the one signing off on them at the end of the day. He could (if he was really interested in protecting the innocent) follow the trend of other states and Europe and at least ban abortions of convenience at the 20 week mark and beyond. Some European nations even ban them at 14 weeks. Only three other countries allow non-medically necessitated abortions in the third tri-mester: Canada, China and North Korea. So our dear leader stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the dear leader of North Korea when it comes to abortion. Also, wasn't slavery considered to be a "decided" issue with the Dredd Scott decision? Right up until the Civil War that is. When a practice dehumanizes innocent life to excuse its fundamental inhumanity, just as legalized slavery once did and abortions of convenience still do, the issue is never settled.

Wow, Mr. Sharp found this article rather quickly. You did neglect to note that you are the authorRead More of the blogs you cited.****For those who are unaware, Mr Sharp is an avid pro-death penalty advocate who owns/operates several pro-death penalty blogs and websites. Not that there is anything wrong with that. He certainly is strident in supporting his positions. Interestingly, I believe he was anti-death penalty until the mid 1990s.

Can ANYONE tell me what if any part of the Judicial System Works ??? It is all screwed up from frontRead More to back. Prime example is the R.S.O.L. If this List is so effective in stopping crime . Why not create one for all types of violent crimes and watch ALL crime go down. I have a co-worker who has been on this list for 9 years for being with a younger girl , who by the way is now his wife and they have a child together. And the list he says has only created a problem for him trying to get his and his family's life back together and has caused issues with A'o's making comments to him and his wife and child which to me is harassment. I have even wrote to some local and state politicians about expanding to more lists as in spousal abuse and repeat drug dealers and drunk drivers and been told on many emails that they do not see them effective to create new ones. Makes you wonder who they are protecting ??????

This little boy is very clever to have figured out how to crawl inside the machine. He deservesRead More more attentive parents. I hope they are court ordered to parenting classes. For what it's worth, approximately 30 years ago, I saw a toddler swathed in diapers wander out the front door of his home. The door was wide open. He started walking down the street. I parked my car and gently held him in my arms, looking for a family member to appear. No such luck. The toddler was nonverbal and unafraid. So we walked to the police station across the street. The cops on duty immediately recognized him & thought it was funny. The toddler was a known wanderer and the cops assured me he had a loving family. REALLY? They took him back home and did not write an incident report. It disturbed me then and now that the parents and police were so nonchalant. Child neglect is amusing to some people. I am not one of them.

strange how we respond just as the terrorists desire us to. the media commemorates each incident asRead More if it were a new profit center to mine for every last click. whole populations now sit in fear of another 'something' about to happen, never again, fully safe like we were in the good old days of the cold war? once these bstrds hit us deep inside our own turf we have not become stronger, but rather 'hardened', emboldened in our delusions of ultimate superiority, no longer safe on our 'island of north america'. each of these events changes us all even imperceptably, forcing us to accept their motives, their ideals, their imam imposed concept of living. we act in unison, determined to show them we are not affected, yet that very demonstration reveals our inner need to respond, to re-affirm our own injury, each of those crowd-felt sympathies we all cling to, even if for the brief moment of our 'crowd'. be strong, and further, be alert, be conspicuous in manner in which you care for each other. shy not away from those who seek your death, but do not embrace them, as they fein no challenge to seek close to your demise.

Ted I am not sure I understand what actions you are advocating beyond Public Service Announcements.Read More What is the point you are making?
Ted Giovanis April 16, 2014 at 07:29 pm
The research is robust with ways to address the broader aspects of the distracted driving issue.Read More But, no one bothers to look for the information and understand the problems and their causes. I provided a single site and there are many. I doubt anyone took the time to read the Erie Insurance Report. Around that same reference that are more studies and suggested ways to address the problem. The point is this: the government only grabs what it can to say that it did something and to assert that it made a difference. They did this years ago with the 55 mph national speed limit and now that the speeds limits have been increased, the total highway fatalities - in absolute numbers and not just per million miles driven, have decreased. There are lots of other factors that influence highway fatalities and speed is only but one. However, the government said that it was "the" one causal factor. They were wrong. They have done the same thing with speed cameras and red light cameras too. There are many proven traffic engineering technics that have a much better performance than cameras. But, we don't do those. The true solution is actually in our driver education programs as at present there is none. What we have now is to teach folks to pass a test - not how to drive. We don't teach car control techniques or handling characteristics and the latter are very different depending on the car - BMW did a study and found that 80% of respondents did not know whether they we driving a front or rear wheel drive vehicle - as the handling characteristics (and what you need to do to avoid and accident) are very different. The problem is very complex and the solutions need to recognize that complexity. The presently divined solutions fail to consider this complexity.

If his administration get a lot of support ( votes ) from Baltimore city and there are a lot ofRead More criminals charged with murder in Jail, makes sense that the families who are connected to the killers would want to keep their relatives alive. Votes count right ? Baltimore is one of the most violent cities in America. Keeping the deterrent on the books helps to protect the good citizens of Baltimore city. Taking it off the books protects who ? I think the Mayor of Baltimore, along with their support staff wants to change which had been going on for some time. It will take time and dedication. The governor points out that there are problems in Baltimore but neglects to say nothing changed when he was the cities mayor.
