Shaun W. and I stumbled upon this authentic Caribbean & Soul Food dive while continuing our ongoing search for amenities in the Odenton Town Center (wilsonbrosblog.com). After ordering the Curry Goat and Jerk Chicken Wings I was given an apology from the owner as he explained that this was his first day opening his doors and it would be another hour before these freshly made items would be ready. I proceeded with his recommendation of Curry Chicken over rice and a Jamaican Beef Patty. They were both great. Being fro New York I was spoiled. Now all I have to do is go to Odenton to the new Troy's Caribbean & Soul Food.
After being disappointed earlier in the day, I just had to return for some of their freshly prepared Curry Goat and tasty Jamaican Beef Patties. Once again I was impressed.
This has got to be the poorest excuse of a Caribbean restaurant i've ever seen. The previous owners who were actually Jamaican had to close down and they were actually good but, honestly this guy needs to take Caribbean food off the menu. I had came in one night after the place being closed down for months thinking the food would still be good ( I sure was wrong ). I asked for curry chicken and not telling me he was out of curry chicken he gave me jerk chicken instead with a side salad that tasted like a wet brown paper bag. The Jerk chicken was HORRIBLE! I want to report this restaurant to the better business bureau for false advertisement. This IS NOT AUTHENTIC CARIBBEAN FOOD DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Being the nice guy I am i gave it a second chance and came back another day and got the curry chicken which was HORRIBLE! No flavor what-so-ever! This guy cannot cook! I will NEVER recommend this restaurant to anybody.
