Transformations is a refuge for women! I have been a member for about 7 years. It is where I unwind, let go of stress, and have a lot of fun with the girls. The instructors are amazing. They truly care about its members. I am 46 and have 5 children, but you would never know it because the instructors push and encourage us to work out hard to achieve our fitness goals. I would be lost without Transformations. There is no other gym like it!
I work at Transformations, so I'm a little biased, but I was a member long before I started teaching classes. I'm a military wife with 4 kids. My husband deploys all the time. I don't know what I'd do without the support of these amazing women...and the childcare. :) It's not just a place to workout, it's a place to hang out. Women getting together to laugh and exercise. Endorphins run high and you can feel the positive energy as soon as you walk through the doors. It's also kind of like "Cheers" in the fact that people actually care about you and learn your name. It was one of the reasons I wanted to work there in the first place. I've been to other gyms and hated working out. I felt like no one even cared that I was there. It used to be a chore. Now, I can't wait to work out. It's the highlight of my day. Two week trial passes are available for free and that includes the childcare. How can you go wrong?

I've been a member of Bally's forever, but I never go since I moved to Odenton. The locations have been very inconvenient for me to go. Transformations, on the other hand, is walking distance. I've been a member for over 3 years now. They have a wonderful kids room which is great for me being a single mom. I absolutely love ALL the instructors for my favorite classes at Transformations Odenton. Whether it's Trish teaching Step, Gina and Cici teaching Kick, or Roxy teaching us some of her hot moves in Zumba, the ladies always make it motivating, challenging yet easy to keep up with with, and they are ON queue! I just found out from friends that Bally's was bought out by LA Fitness, -which I never knew about because I've been just paying my annual dues, since it's really cheap- I never got any notices, or announcements, or any kind of welcome package to let me know that I am now a member of LA Fitness. So I've gone a few times. Anyway, LA Fitness in Gambrills is a nice facility, but when it comes to the group fitness classes, Transformations and their instructors win hands down every time! It's true what my bumper stickers says: "I <3 (heart) my gym, Transformations".
