I tried Pachanga Grill for the first time a few weeks ago. I tried the fajitas for Thursday's fajita night. Delicious and so much food for the special price of $12. Fresh, strong grilled flavor and a good side of beans/rice, and the fixins. I have taken different friends since and we all look forward to going again. The only thing that didn't impress me were the original margaritas. Not a great taste - like a mix - just not a fresh taste.

Customers enjoy free chips and salsa while waiting for traditional Mexican cuisine, including tacos, burritos, chimichangas, tamales and enchiladas. Drinks include a selection of Mexican and American beers, wine and sangria, plus the proprietary "Pachanga Ale." I'm not sure what happened to this place. We used to eat there a lot, then (after Momma Roma's opened) we stopped going. We went for the first time in 2-3 years and the food changed... a lot. The beans tasted as though right out of the can and my former favorite dish, tacos al pastor, went from three tacos to two. They seem to do amazing happy hour business when the weather is good and I can see going for that. But I'll skip the meals. There's a taco truck on 175 near Moe's liquor that is very tasty.
I'm not sure what style of Mexican food this is supposed to be (TexMex? California influence? Authentic?) but it doesn't seem to fall into any category. That in itself is OK, and there is no problem with just being a Mexican restaurant with its own style. The only problem is that it just didn't taste that good. Every meal I've had there seemed to have some sort of oddity included. My first burrito from there had a HUGE bay leaf in it (bay leaf?), the chimichanga I ate was oddly soggy, and the chicken quesadillas just had a weird taste to them. Maybe I'm just not used to the taste, and I'm sure I never will...obviously people love this place since it's always packed. Oh well, to each their own. I personally didn't like the food. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff, that's for sure!

I remember coming here to give my dad a fare well about a decade ago. I had the Rainbow Trout and he had a steak dish of some sort. I have been back about four times since staggering each visit with a few years in between. Through the years I noticed both the service and food slipping with each return. I want to point out that I live close enough to walk here and that is what my finance and I did tonight. It was packed tonight and therefore I wasn't prepared to expect much in terms of quality. Well, please read further before considering the opportunity to receive the service that we experienced just now. We waited a few minutes before being seated even though a few tables were available, but no big deal. This was expected. After about 15 minutes someone asked us if we wanted drinks. After another 15 minutes or so we asked to place our order. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. By this time the two tables next to us had cleared and we found ourselves with new neighbors. Another 15 or so minutes passed and we then noticed that our new neighbors were served dinner. The other table also received their same appetizer before us. I finally became fed up and called a staff member's attention to the issue and they promptly found our server. We explained our discontent and she said that both our appetizer and drinks will be on the house. The food was mediocre at best. We received the bill and it credited the appetizer and not the drinks. I made her aware and she played forgetful
