Catherine L. O'Malley Senior Center
410-222-6227
Operated by the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities, this senior center is a popular gathering place for many of Odenton's older residents. Membership is free for anyone over age 55. Members can call in advance to get an inexpensive, nutritionally balanced lunch. The center also offers a variety of health screenings, financial counseling, activities, classes and bus trips. The center also has an annex building across the street offering additional space and services. The center's namesake was well known for writing Odenton: The Town the Railroad Built, widely accepted as the definitive history of Odenton.

This is a wonderful facility serving county senior citizens. Many exercise classes including yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba, Fit 'n Tone, etc. plus a mini-gym help maintain health. Classes ranging from history, languages, current events, art (all mediums), to garment sewing stimulate the brain.
Most classes are led by AACC teachers. Staff members and volunteers are available and eager to meet new members and help them learn about the variety of activites available. Membership is free - those classes offered through Anne Arundel Community College require a quarterly fee which includes unlimited classes.
Come in to learn more and encourage your senior friends and family to take advantage of this excellent county facility.
(I am a participant in classes and occasional volunteer - not affiliated with the Senior Center in any official capacity.)
