Visit the MD Dairy Farm Corn Maze - The maze is open every weekend until after Halloween, and offers 11-acres of challenging fun. Try to find all of the "totems" or race your friends to the observation bridge. There are also hayrides and other activities.

Go to Odenton Day - The annual event spearheaded by the Greater Odenton Improvement Association will take place on Oct. 5 and feature a community fair, live music and other entertainment and tours of historic Odenton. There will also be demonstrations from the fire department and a 5k run and 10k bike ride. Stop by the Odenton Volunteer Fire Co. on Annapolis Road from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Watch High School Football
- The Odenton-Severn area is home to three of the top football teams in the county in Arundel, Meade and Old Mill. Old Mill currently has an inside track on the county title after beating Meade and Arundel during the first three weeks of the season. But Meade takes on Arundel to finish off the regular season on Nov. 8 with the prestigious Mears Cup on the line.

Run or Bike on the WB&A Trail - The weather is perfect for running, and Odenton is home to one of the nicer trails in the area. It starts at the corner of Odenton Road and Piney Orchard Parkway and extends more than 6 miles south. While you're getting in shape, sign up for one of these upcoming 5k runs.

Visit a Yard Sale, or Hold One Of Your Own - The Patch events calendar seems to be filled with garage and yard sales of various sizes every weekend. Put up some of your items for sale before the weather gets too chilly. You can post your yard sale onto our events calendar directly.

Visit the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge - It's a little bit outside of Odenton and Severn, but head west and take advantage of the wide array of fall events. The refuge will host a 5k run on Sept. 29, and will have wildlife festival on Oct. 19 featuring tram tours, live animals and crafts for kids.
