All high school football games in Anne Arundel County were postponed to Friday evening, after thunderstorms blew through the area.
Games originally were scheduled for Thursday evening, but will now be played Friday at 4 p.m. This includes the big clash between Arundel and Old Mill in Millersville, as well as Meade High's game at South River.
While most football games are typically played on Fridays, they were scheduled for Thursday this week to accommodate the Yom Kippur holiday. The new 4 p.m. start time Friday will allow games to be completed before sundown, when the Jewish holiday formally begins.
