About a dozen rooms in Piney Orchard Elementary School were without heat on Wednesday, forcing staff to move students into heated areas.
Principal Karen Bailey said in a note to parents that maintenance crews were working to fix the problem, which left some rooms at about 54 degrees. Heated rooms are at normal temperatures, officials said.
While the schedule of classes has not been affected, the lack of heat in some rooms forced some classes to be combined.
"Maintenance crews are on site and are addressing this situation as quickly as possible," Bailey wrote.
