A man and a woman who was in labor were robbed at gunpoint in Annapolis early Sunday morning.

The Annapolis Police Department said a witness reported the pair being held at gunpoint in the 1800 block of Copeland Street about 4:30 a.m.

When officers arrived the victims were able to point them in the direction that the gunmen fled in a stolen vehicle, reports WBAL TV. Investigators said the gunmen abandoned the vehicle on Tyler Court and fled on foot, but were captured by police.

The suspects are Devery Kelley, 24, of Annapolis, and Cornell Robinson, 44, of Washington. Police said they recovered a handgun the suspects threw from the vehicle during the chase.

The pregnant woman was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 410-268-9000.
