A supervisor and work coach at a Millersville facility that offers vocational training for disabled adults has been charged with sexually abusing an autistic man at the site.
Anne Arundel County Police say that officers were called to Opportunity Builders, 8855 Veterans Highway, on July 14 for a report of vulnerable adult abuse. A 21-year-old man diagnosed with autism told police he was sexually abused by a staff member sometime between May 15 and June 15.
The victim told detectives that a staff member sexually touched him while was using a bathroom at Opportunity Builders. The suspect, who is a supervisor and work coach at the facility, was identified as Gregory Chambers, 50, of 1216 Kenwood Road in Glen Burnie.
He was charged with vulnerable adult abuse, a third-degree sex offense, a fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault.
Opportunity Builders cooperated and assisted the detectives throughout their investigation, police say.
