A teenager in Hanover told police that a man stole his cell phone outside a party late Friday night.
Anne Arundel County police said they responded shortly after midnight on Saturday morning to the area of Pangbourne Way and Dorchester Boulevard. Officers spoke to a 15-year-old boy, who said he was at a party on Pangbourne Way when he was approached by a man who asked to use his cell phone.
Police said the boy agreed, but that the suspect began to walk away with the phone after he used it. When confronted, the suspect flashed a handgun, police said. The victim walked away and called police.
Police said they searched the area but could not find the suspect.
