An 18-year-old from Severn turned himself in to authorities Wednesday and admitted to committing a sex offense at Anne Arundel Community College, according to police.

Gregory Scott Wheatley Jr., 18, of the 1800 block of Disney Estates Circle, has been charged with second-degree assault and a fourth-degree sex offense, the Anne Arundel County Police Department reported.

At noon on Tuesday, police responded to Anne Arundel Community College at 101 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie for a reported groping, the report said.

The victim said she was leaving the college at 1:45 p.m. on Monday when a man followed her into the parking garage across the street from campus, then grabbed her rear end and ran away, police said. The 39-year-old victim was not injured, according to police.

Police said Wheatley turned himself in Thursday after seeing images of himself distributed by media outlets in connection with the crime. A criminal summons has been issued.

If that were my sister or daughter, either one I would not subject him to trial or any such thing; I would have him castrated!!!

just sayin', with all the crimes we are used to hearing about at the mall, it is nice that this is all there was. Not trying to minimize the creepiness of it. but castrate? really?
