Officers Seize Over $6,500 Worth of Drugs

Anne Arundel County Police officers arrested two alleged drug traffickers in separate cases Monday in Odenton and Glen Burnie.

Two drug-related arrests made Monday by Anne Arundel County Police seized more than $6,500 worth of drugs.

Officers stopped a vehicle around 5:23 p.m. near Monterey Avenue and Odenton Road. During the traffic stop, officers found 38.7 grams of psilocybin mushrooms worth an estimated $1,354, police said.

Roger Edward Shuford, 19, of Odenton was charged with drug possession and distribution.

Officers also confiscated three digital scales, drug paraphernalia and $295 in cash from the vehicle.

The second arrest was made around 8:50 p.m. when officers from the Eastern District checked a person known to have multiple warrants on the 400 block of Secluded Post Circle in Glen Burnie. Brian Douglas Hall, 26, of Curtis Bay fled the scene on foot. Officers apprehended him without incident after a brief foot chase.

Hall was found in possession of $5,300 worth of drugs -- 1.5 ounces of heroin, 1 gram of cocaine and prescription medication. Officers also seized $1,600 in cash.

Hall was served the outstanding warrants and charged with drug possession and distribution.
