Odenton Day Scheduled for Oct. 6

The Greater Odenton Improvement Association has announced details of the community's big fall event. A bike ride has been added to the list of activities.

Odenton's marquee fall event is scheduled for October 6.

The Greater Odenton Improvement Association has announced the return of Odenton Day, with events including a community fair, 5k run, 10k bike ride and free bus tours of the historic district.

Events will take place at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The fire company, the Odenton Heritage Society and the West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsors of the sixth annual event. 

Community groups, political candidates and government agencies may have a booth at the community fair for free. Businesses can reserve a table for $50.

The run and bike ride will begin at 10 a.m. The bike ride is a new addition to Odenton Day, and will take place along Annapolis Road from the fire hall to the Sunrise Dairy Farm and back. Riders can register at active.com.

Odenton Day will feature fire prevention demonstrations, a stage with entertainment and free food.
