Man Fires Shot During Robbery at David's Natural Market

Police said a man entered the store Friday night and fired a gun at the ceiling before taking a clerk's purse.

Anne Arundel County police responded Friday night to an armed robbery at the David's Natural Market store in Gambrills.

Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said officers received a call shortly before 8 p.m. and arrived to learn that a man had entered the store and fired a single gunshot to the ceiling. The man demanded money from the store and took the purse of a store clerk before running away.

Police searched the area using assistance from a K-9 unit and aviation unit, but could not find the man.

Mulcahy said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

I'm curious to see if the Anne Arundel County Liquor Store SWAT team can actually find this perp.

Do the police have any leads in the case? Any description of the suspect? The store does not seem to do a lot of business, so the assailant was probably wasting his time by robbing the place.

Well, they must be doing enough business, they've been there for a while. It is a nice store, GREAT selection, well-stocked. I enjoy shopping there. Sorry this ridiculous nonsense had to happen there. It is a shame.

I agree Calique. I shop there often and it's a great store with really nice people working there. It was really upsetting to hear of this happening there. The world is closing in on Odenton/Gambrills. More to come I'm afraid.

The robbery suspect is white, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black jacket, jeans and a ski mask. http://www.capitalgazette.com/news/arundel_digest/robber-fires-shot-upon-entering-gambrills-market/article_fa1a2818-2644-5669-bfba-191b9148c8b9.html
