The 6th annual Odenton Day will take place this Saturday with some new wrinkles.
The town's top fall event will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will once again feature a community fair at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, plus free food and entertainment.
The 5k footrace and 1 mile fun run are back, but organizers have also added a 10k bike ride along Annapolis Road between the fire hall and Maryland Sunrise Farm.
It costs $25 to run or bike, and $15 to walk. Active members of the military get a 50 percent discount.
Registration for the run and bike ride begins at 8 a.m., with the start time at 10 a.m. Participants can register at active.com.
Odenton Day will also feature an open house at the Odenton Heritage Society Museum, with free shuttle service and tours of historic Odenton.
There will also be fire prevention demonstrations outside the fire hall.
Odenton Day is organized and sponsored by the Greater Odenton Improvement Association, West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company.
