Wegmans has issued a nationwide recall of two types of salad mix, citing a possible E. coli contamination.
The Rochester-based grocery chain said recall impacts the 11-ounce and 5-ounce sizes of store-brand Organic Spinach and Spring Mix. The products were sold between Oct. 14 and Nov. 1. Wegmans advises anyone who bought the products to immediately throw them away.
It is unclear how many salad mixes were sold at the new Wegmans in Gambrills, which opened on Oct. 28.
This is the second recall involving a Wegmans product this week. On Wednesday, the chain announced a recall of pumpkin rolls sold in its bakery section.
For questions about the recall, call 1-800-WEGMANS between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.
