If you've ever been to New Orleans, you know there's nothing quite like waking up on a Saturday morning and downing some cafe au lait and beignets.
We're a bit far from Cafe du Monde, but the New Orleans Kitchen and French Market in Severn debuts its new Saturday breakfast menu on Oct. 6.
The new menu, which will be available from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, will include cafe au lait at $2 a cup and a trio of beignets for $3.50. (Or get the beignets and cafe au lait together for $5.)
The menu will also include the following specialties from Chef Rusty Evers:
Pain Perdu (a Cajun version of French Toast) - 3 slices for $8.50
Fried Chicken and Waffles - $12.95
Breakfast Po' Boy - $9.95
BLT Po'Boy - $9.95
Grits and Grillades - $12.95
There will also be sides available, including buttermilk biscuits, smoked sausage, bacon, and traditional and cheese grits.
