Motorcyclists Get a New Store in Odenton

Motorcycle Rider's Co. offers everything from repairs to helmets.

Mike Dennis can see the motorcyclists slow down for a brief second as they ride through the traffic circle in Odenton.

He hopes they soon will be loyal customers.

Dennis opened Motorcycle Rider’s Co. last month near the roundabout at Odenton Road, offering motorcycle repair and accessories. He opened the store after more than 30 years of riding motorcycles and more than a decade spent working at bike shops in the area.

“I’m really hoping to get every type of rider in here,” the Severn resident said. “That’s what I want it to be known for—that variety shop.”

The shop is stocked with plenty of helmets, jackets, sunglasses and other accessories, plus oil, air filters and other items to help motorcycles run. He also said he hopes to soon offer apparel from Fox Racing and other companies.

Dennis, 37, plans to offer expert advice and has hired a full-time mechanic to perform motorcycle repairs on site soon. His goal is to offer 24-hour turnaround on most repairs, and will work with top part distributors, including Tucker Rocky and Biker’s Choice.

He said he’s received some interest from local biking groups, and hopes to eventually host some events such as a charity bike wash or even a small concert.

Dennis hopped on his first dirt bike when he was 7 years old. He sold most of his motorcycles to help get the business off the ground, but still rides a green Honda Valkyrie Interstate, which is parked out front. When he’s not working, he said he goes on rides to area parks, and then takes a long hike.

“It’s freedom,” he said. “I like the way they handle, I just like being on them. I can’t imagine my life without motorcycles.”

Motorcycle Rider's Co. is located at 1099 Odenton Rd. and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Call the store at 410-674-2150 or check them out online at motoridersco.com.
