BY THE GREAT AND WHIMSICAL “J-JIX” OF ARUNDEL HIGH SCHOOL IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, IT IS RESOLVED THAT:
WHEREAS, Trust between educational institutions and the communities they serve has been eroded by antiquated policies, inefficient bureaucracy, and political posturing; and,
WHEREAS, Public Schools are nevertheless the foundation on which the American Dream is built; and,
WHEREAS, Arundel High School is an innovative educational community that always strives (though sometimes fails) to create a space where "glocal" learning, living, and levity all happen; and
WHEREAS, Teachers/Students are magical creatures full of wit, wisdom, and whimsy (not to mention alliteration) who together forge the intellectual infrastructure from one generation to the next; and,
WHEREAS, Cat videos on youtube display tremendous “wildcat pride,”
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this blog on the Odenton Patch, is ordained a (virtual) public space to discuss, reflect, and otherwise muse about the nature of public education generally and Arundel High Specifically, that by so doing, relationships between teachers, students, parents, administrators, and community members may be strengthened and/or renewed, whereby creating an educational model that can be emulated around the world.
…and I’d also like to lose 10 pounds.
