Half Off Adoption Fees at Crowded Animal Shelter

The Anne Arundel County shelter is so full it can’t rescue dogs. So, all adoption fees for dogs two years and older will be 50 percent off for a limited time.

There are 65 dogs waiting to be taken home at the Anne Arundel SPCA -- more are waiting it out in temporary foster homes.

Because of capacity issues, the shelter has been unable to rescue other dogs. In an effort to provide forever homes for the dogs, the SPCA is having a Lonely Hearts Weekend Adoption Special.

This weekend, June 7 and 8, all adoption fees will be 50 percent off for any dogs that are two or older -- they’ve been waiting much longer. One little beagle named John Wall has been in the shelter environment since December 2013. He’s ready to be taken to a permanent home.

Anyone interested in adopting John Wall or any of his canine friends should call the shelter at 410-268-4388 or visit the website.

Awww. People: please don't patronize breeders, or pet stores !!! Every time you do, a shelter dog looses his life...period!
