An unusually warm fall day brought out a sizable crowd to Saturday's Odenton Day festivities.
Hundreds of people packed into fire hall on Annapolis Road for a community fair, while outside, firefighters showed off their big apparatus and held a demonstration of a rescue attempt.
Bruce McPherson of the Greater Odenton Improvement Association said organizers made 50 tables available to community groups and vendors, and all of them were claimed.
There was free food and entertainment, with performances by local groups including Arts N' Motion dancers from Odenton.
The Odenton Heritage Society was on hand with information about the town's history, and offered tours of the town's historic district.
The previously scheduled 5k run and 10k bike ride was cancelled due to a lack of signups.
This was the 7th year for Odenton Day, which is organized by the Greater Odenton Improvement Association, West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, Odenton Volunteer Fire Company and Odenton Heritage Society.
