Maryland Search & Rescue and BSA Venture Crew 616 will be holding a joint OPEN HOUSE on September 24, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mt. Zion UMC in Highland MD. The church is at the intersection of Rt. 216 and Brown’s Bridge Rd. 12430 Scaggsville Road  Highland, MD 20777

Maryland Search & Rescue (MSAR) and Venture Crew 616 (VC 616) work together to provide trained volunteers for wilderness lost-person search and rescue efforts in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Young men and women in the Venture Crew are responsible for running their portion of the program and as such learn leadership skills. Time spent training can be applied to public service requirements with local school systems.
